We are the Tri-City Gem and Mineral Society.  This Society was organized in 1969 by a group of local rock hounds. It encompasses the areas of Temple,   Belton, Killeen, and the surrounding rural areas.

                      

The Tri-City Gem and Mineral Society is associated with the South Central Federation of Mineralogical Societies and the American Federation of                   Mineralogical Societies.  This allows an exchange of information between a regional and a national organization and assists each club with uniform rules of operation.

 

The Tri-City Gem and Mineral Society publishes a monthly newsletter The Rock Prattle and is in its 52nd year of publication.
